Korean Style Clam Soup
This mild tasting soup is perfect for Fall and Winter season
1) 6~10 counts of small clams (leave it in a salt water for few hours to get rid of sands and dirts)
2) 1 cup of cold water
3) 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
4) Freshly chopped scallion
1) Add clams into a pot with a cold water then boil until shells start to open.
2) Add minced garlic into a pot then season with a salt
3) Boil 3 more minutes until both clams and garlic is cooked. (Uncooked garlic will bring bitter and stinging flavors)
4) Serve in a bowl and garnish with a chopped scallion
DAY 222 | SEM
France - B. 🇫🇷
Today morning I left the usual routine to do my first and small training for my second year : scanning electron microscopy. A SEM man came to introduce us his company and how the machine works. I think he was the best fan/supporter of this thing we couldn't expect better to share and talk about it. It's like he was a proud father introducing the baby to all the family members. Really, it was so entertaining to watch. The microscopy machine is amazing. The quality and the amount of option it has it's unbelievable. I was dumbfounded by all the stuff we can do with it. At the end, the man allowed us to work a little on our own samples. Because we were numerous I didn't prepare ones but some of my colleagues did including A. The algae samples, mostly diatoms, were easily watch on screen. It wasn't the same with A ones at least until she decided to look directly on the mollusk she used! It was so cool to see her bacteria. I hope I will be able to use this to illustrate my report or articles someday. It would be so beautiful!
After this, I continued my report as usual with the bacteria part. It's really plain to do this time considering the huge amount of reference I have.
Oh and at the end of the day, P brought me a new correction of his first ones on my materials and methods parts. Honestly my report at the end will be so strongly corrected that I could used it for anything I want! I will have a corrected report of the corrected report! Well, it's awesome but quite time consuming in fact. I have a lot of thing to update to make the whole writing even clearer! Tomorrow morning is already full! Wow!
